Voice-Picking Warehouse Assistant

You'll keep a busy spares and hardware warehouse in Vereeniging stocked, picked and moving out on time. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a spares and hardware warehouse on the Vereeniging side of Gauteng. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns

• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
