Production Operator (Vehicle Assembly Line) – Experienced

You'll build parts or whole vehicles on a moving line at the exhaust and catalytic converter plant in Gqeberha. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Gqeberha-based, with most of your time spent at an exhaust and catalytic converter plant. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Pull the andon cord when a defect or safety issue appears
• Check parts for defects before they go into the vehicle
• Record production counts and scrap on the shift board
• Load and unload robotic welding cells safely
• Rotate between stations as the team leader plans
• Wear the correct PPE, including gloves, glasses and ear protection

• Good eyesight and hand coordination
• Able to stand for a full shift and do repeat tasks without losing focus
• Able to pass a basic literacy and numeracy test
• Can follow written and visual work instructions
• Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights

• Forklift licence for material handling
• Basic computer skills
• NQF 2 in Automotive Manufacturing and Assembly through merSETA
