Production Operator (Vehicle Assembly Line)

The exhaust and catalytic converter plant in Springs needs operators who follow the standard work and speak up when something is wrong. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is an exhaust and catalytic converter plant on the Springs side of Gauteng. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Check parts for defects before they go into the vehicle
• Record production counts and scrap on the shift board
• Keep your station clean using 5S rules
• Pull the andon cord when a defect or safety issue appears
• Take part in kaizen ideas to improve your station
• Load and unload robotic welding cells safely
• Wear the correct PPE, including gloves, glasses and ear protection

• Good eyesight and hand coordination
• Grade 12 certificate
• Able to pass a basic literacy and numeracy test
• Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights

• Transport from nearby townships on some routes
• Shift allowance and paid overtime
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Learnership opportunities toward an artisan trade
