Public Area Cleaner (Casino Hotel)

Housekeeping keeps a serviced apartment block in Epping running quietly in the background. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in Epping. Relocation is not covered for this one. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
• Inspect rooms against the checklist before release to front office.
• Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
• Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.
• Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
• Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.

• You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
• You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
• Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience
• Grade 10 or higher
• Weekend and public holiday work
• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings

• Laundry machine and steam press experience
• A supervisor course or time spent running a floor

• Uniform and protective gloves supplied
• Monthly award for best room scores
• Staff transport from nearby townships for early shifts

• Many hotels recruit through walk-ins at the staff entrance, so ask for the housekeeping office and leave your CV there.
• A clean, clear police clearance helps; mention it if you have a recent one.
