Job Description

The facilities management company in Bellville needs a qualified electrician who can work neatly and sign off safe installations. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a facilities management company on the Bellville side of Western Cape. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What your day looks like

Quote small jobs for clients and explain the fault in plain language
Install and wire distribution boards, isolators and earth leakage units to SANS 10142-1
Install inverters, battery banks and changeover switches for backup power clients
Fault-find tripping circuits with a multimeter, insulation tester and loop tester
Test installations and issue Certificates of Compliance where your registration allows
Run conduit, trunking and cable tray on new builds and renovations

Must-haves

Clean criminal record, since you will work inside client homes
Solid working knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
Comfortable working at heights on ladders and in roof spaces
Valid Code 08 driver's licence

Extra points for

PLC and motor control experience from a factory setting
Master Installation Electrician registration for three-phase CoCs
