Job Description

You'll keep the line running at a soft drink bottling plant in Bloemfontein, feeding, checking and packing product all shift. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Bloemfontein-based, with most of your time spent at a soft drink bottling plant. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What you'll actually do

Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects

What you need

Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
Available for rotating day and night shifts

Extra points for

Experience assisting on a packaging or filling machine
NQF Level 2 manufacturing learnership completed
Previous work in a food or FMCG factory
