Good factory hands stay for years, and this snack food factory in Randburg trains from day one. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a snack food factory on the Randburg side of Gauteng. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
• Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers
• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
• Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines
• Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet

• Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area

• Previous work in a food or FMCG factory
• NQF Level 2 manufacturing learnership completed

• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets
• Company transport on some night shifts
• Staff shop with discounted factory products

• Mention that you can work rotating shifts right at the top. It is the first thing most factories filter on.
• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
