Job Description

Here in Richards Bay, an industrial bakery needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The work is in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

The work, day to day

Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
Pack finished product into cases and stack them by batch number
Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines

You'll need

Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
Available for rotating day and night shifts
Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection

Extra points for

Some basic first-aid training
A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate
