Quantity Surveyor (Building Contractor) – Fixed-Term

The main building contractor in Rosslyn needs a QS who can price a tender and still defend a final account. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll be based at a main building contractor in Rosslyn. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Track budget against actual cost and flag overruns early
• Draft subcontract agreements and payment schedules
• Measure work on site for monthly interim payment certificates
• Use measuring software to do take-offs from PDF and CAD drawings
• Get quotes from subcontractors and compare them line by line
• Price tenders using supplier quotes, labour rates and plant costs

• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
• Accurate with numbers and able to back up every figure you certify
• BSc, BTech or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
• You know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work

• SACQSP registration as a Professional or Candidate QS
• Honours degree in Quantity Surveying

• Study support for an honours degree

• Hybrid days in the office and on site
