Rapid Response Officer (Farm Security)

You'll answer alarms across a business park in Bellville in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a business park on the Bellville side of Western Cape. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
• Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
• Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
• Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren

• SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
• Clean criminal record and no pending cases
• Calm under pressure and physically fit
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts

• SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
• Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
• First-aid Level 2 or 3

• Group life cover through the provident fund
• Danger and night allowances
• Regular refresher shooting practice
