Job Description

When a panic button goes off in a mixed-use neighbourhood in Richards Bay, you are the one who arrives first. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a mixed-use neighbourhood on the Richards Bay side of KwaZulu-Natal.

What your day looks like

Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates

What you need

Calm under pressure and physically fit
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
At least 2 years in guarding or response
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)

Nice if you have

Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
