Job Description

You'll answer alarms across a suburban residential area in Tzaneen in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Location: Tzaneen, Limpopo. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details

Must-haves

Calm under pressure and physically fit
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
At least 2 years in guarding or response
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving

Nice if you have

Advanced driving course
Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
First-aid Level 2 or 3
