Job Description

Serious work for a serious officer: armed response across a mixed-use neighbourhood in White River. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: White River, Mpumalanga. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

The work, day to day

Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests

What you need

Calm under pressure and physically fit
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
At least 2 years in guarding or response
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
