Job Description

Retail in Khayelitsha runs on thin margins, and a retail distribution centre needs someone guarding its stock. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is Khayelitsha-based, with most of your time spent at a retail distribution centre.

The work, day to day

Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy
Help with stock counts and point out loss hot-spots
Tag high-value stock and check security tags at the doors
Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial
Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement

What you need

Available for retail hours including month-end weekends
Good report writing
Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4
Able to handle confrontation calmly
Discreet, observant and honest
