Job Description

You'll catch shoplifting and stock losses at a supermarket in Rustenburg before they cost jobs. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is in Rustenburg (North West). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What your day looks like

Share trends with the store manager each week
Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
Check receiving bay deliveries against invoices and seal numbers
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial

Must-haves

Able to handle confrontation calmly
Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4
Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
Available for retail hours including month-end weekends
Discreet, observant and honest
PSIRA registration, Grade C at least

Previous store detective experience with case outcomes
Retail loss prevention course
