Job Description

Blend in, watch closely and act lawfully: that is loss prevention at an electronics store in Tembisa. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Tembisa. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

The work, day to day

Help with stock counts and point out loss hot-spots
Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial
Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy
Check receiving bay deliveries against invoices and seal numbers
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft

You'll need

Able to handle confrontation calmly
Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
Discreet, observant and honest
Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4

Helpful, not essential

Experience giving evidence in court
Retail loss prevention course
