Receiving Clerk Assistant (Goods Inwards)

You'll load and offload trucks at a beverage depot in George so every delivery goes out full and correct. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in George. Relocation is not covered for this one. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• No criminal record
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note

• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Route-completion incentives in busy months

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
