Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this container unpacking yard in Mthatha, and you move the stock in between. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll be based at a container unpacking yard in Mthatha. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first

• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• No criminal record

• Past work as a driver's assistant
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
• Basic furniture assembly skills

• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Meal allowance on long-route days
