Receiving Clerk Assistant (Goods Inwards)

Delivery days start early in Worcester, and a container unpacking yard needs you on the bay before the trucks roll. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a container unpacking yard on the Worcester side of Western Cape.

• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• Basic furniture assembly skills

• Uniform and safety shoes provided

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
