Registered Nurse (Night Duty) – Immediate Start

This is a registered nursing post at a community day clinic in Germiston, with your own patient load and a say in the care plan. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Germiston-based, with most of your time spent at a community day clinic. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Supervise enrolled nurses and nursing assistants on your side of the ward
• Run emergency trolley checks and respond to cardiac arrest calls
• Do full patient assessments and update nursing care plans every shift
• Take part in ward rounds with doctors and record the new orders
• Prepare patients for theatre and receive them back from recovery
• Admit and discharge patients and explain medication and follow-up to families
• Keep clinical notes clear, timed and signed for audits and legal records

• Calm under pressure when a patient's condition turns quickly
• Nursing qualification via the R425 diploma or R174 degree route
• At least 1 year of post-community-service ward experience
• Solid knowledge of medication safety and the Nursing Act scope of practice
• You can work 12-hour day or night shifts, weekends and public holidays
