Renewable Energy Engineer (Solar PV)

The manufacturing plant in Centurion needs an electrical engineer for projects that go from design to commissioning. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a manufacturing plant in Centurion. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Review PLC and SCADA logic for process control and alarms
• Design LV and MV reticulation to SANS 10142-1 and SANS 10142-2
• Inspect installations and sign off compliance on completion
• Keep single line diagrams and as-built drawings up to date
• Draw up tender specifications and bills of quantities for electrical works

• BEng or BSc Eng in Electrical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist posts
• Able to write clear technical reports and specifications
• At least 3 years of electrical engineering work after graduating
• Experience with at least one power system or lighting design package
• ECSA registration as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate

• Protection or HV operating authorisation
• Renewable energy project experience above 1 MW
• PLC programming certification

• Vehicle allowance for site work

• Flexible hours on design days
• Clear path to associate or senior engineer

• List projects with their voltage level, size in kVA or MW, and whether you designed, supervised or commissioned.
• Name the software you use for power system studies and lighting design. Consultants screen for exact tools.
