Job Description

You'll turn messy data into reports managers actually use, for a microlender in Kimberley. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Kimberley-based, with most of your time spent at a microlender.

The work, day to day

Check data quality and trace odd numbers back to the source
Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python
Meet business users to turn their questions into report requirements
Automate weekly reports that used to take hours in Excel
Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models

Must-haves

Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs
At least 2 years in a data or reporting role (not needed for graduate posts)
Hands-on Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool
Able to explain what the numbers mean, not just show them
Careful with sensitive customer data

Extra points for

Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric
Industry knowledge in retail, insurance or credit
Python with pandas for data wrangling
