Job Description

Patch, monitor, back up and harden systems at a manufacturing group with several sites in Kimberley. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at a manufacturing group with several sites in Kimberley. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

What you'll actually do

Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance
Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
Document network diagrams and change records
Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure
Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs

What you need

Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts

Nice if you have

Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible
CCNA, Fortinet NSE or MikroTik certification
