Job Description

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for a financial services company in Kuruman. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Kuruman-based, with most of your time spent at a financial services company. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules
Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget
Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure

What you need

Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts

Helpful, not essential

Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
ISO 27001 audit experience
Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible
