Restaurant Waitron (Steakhouse)

You'll look after tables at a sports bar and grill in Pinetown, from the first greeting to the final bill. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a sports bar and grill on the Pinetown side of KwaZulu-Natal. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Split bills, process card payments and handle tip-outs at the end of shift.
• Refuse service to anyone under 18 or visibly drunk, as the Liquor Act requires.
• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
• Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.

• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• Quick with basic maths and card machines
• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift

• Staff meal on every shift
• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence
• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
• You keep your own tips, paid out daily or weekly

• Put the names of the restaurants you worked at and your average covers per shift at the top of your CV.
• Walk in with your CV between 2pm and 4pm when managers have time, not during lunch or dinner service.
