Job Description

Retail in Boksburg runs on thin margins, and a retail distribution centre needs someone guarding its stock. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Location: Boksburg, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

The work, day to day

Help with stock counts and point out loss hot-spots
Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
Walk the floor in plain clothes and watch for shoplifting behaviour
Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
Share trends with the store manager each week

Must-haves

Able to handle confrontation calmly
Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4
Available for retail hours including month-end weekends
Good report writing
PSIRA registration, Grade C at least

Extra points for

Experience giving evidence in court
Retail loss prevention course
Understanding of stock systems and shrinkage reports
