Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at a building-supplies depot in Centurion. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

The site is in Centurion; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets

• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)

• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays

• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
