Route Planner (Last-Mile Deliveries)

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a courier operations centre in Epping, keeping every trip on time. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The site is in Epping; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests

• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Good with Excel and email
• Matric
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office

• Transport management system (TMS) experience
• Logistics or supply chain certificate
• Experience on a vehicle telematics platform

• Office-based work with a steady roster
