Route Planner (Last-Mile Deliveries)

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a bus and coach operator in Pinetown, keeping every trip on time. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The work is in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests

• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers

• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
• Good with Excel and email
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong

• Previous truck driving experience
• Logistics or supply chain certificate
• Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
