Route Planner (Last-Mile Deliveries) – Immediate Start

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a distribution depot in Soweto, keeping every trip on time. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Location: Soweto, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
• Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers

• Matric
• Good with Excel and email
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong

• Logistics or supply chain certificate
• Knowledge of cross-border documentation

• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Growth to transport manager
