Job Description

You'll run a shift of officers at a hospital complex in eMalahleni, keeping posts covered and standards high. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Location: eMalahleni, Mpumalanga. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What your day looks like

Meet the client weekly on security concerns
Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours

Must-haves

Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
Firm with staff but fair and consistent
At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
Available after hours for emergencies
Confident writer of incident reports and rosters

Nice if you have

Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts
Labour relations or basic supervision course
Computer skills for rosters in Excel or a workforce app
