Security Area Manager (Night Rounds)

Step up from guarding into supervising on a guarding contract across several sites in Potchefstroom. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is in Potchefstroom (North West). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client

• Available after hours for emergencies
• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor

• Labour relations or basic supervision course
• Mining or hospital security experience
• Own reliable vehicle

• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles

• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
• If you have been upgraded through the grades, show the progression. It proves you grew on the job.
