You'll be based at a vehicle tracking control centre in Newcastle. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows
• Keep call-out times and client passwords up to date
• Track stolen vehicles on the map and guide recovery teams
• Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
• Answer alarm signals and phone clients to verify them

• Computer literate and quick on a keyboard
• Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
• No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
• Clear speaking voice on radio and phone

• Training on the monitoring software
• Path to senior controller or supervisor
• Indoor, air-conditioned work environment
• Shift allowance for nights
