Security Operations Supervisor (Retail Portfolio) – Permanent

Officers look to you on every shift at a guarding contract across several sites in Alberton. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The site is in Alberton; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours

• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor

• Labour relations or basic supervision course
• Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts

• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Cellphone allowance
