Security Operations Supervisor (Retail Portfolio)

Officers look to you on every shift at a residential estate in Krugersdorp. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is Krugersdorp-based, with most of your time spent at a residential estate. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries

• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• Available after hours for emergencies

• Cellphone allowance
• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles

• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
• Mention how you handled absenteeism or roster gaps. It is the biggest daily headache for security companies.
