Security Site Supervisor (Grade B)

A security company in Gqeberha wants a firm, fair supervisor for its mining operation. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at a mining operation in Gqeberha. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Do surprise night visits to check posts

• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters

• Own reliable vehicle
• Labour relations or basic supervision course

• Provident fund and funeral cover
• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles

• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
• If you have been upgraded through the grades, show the progression. It proves you grew on the job.
