Security Site Supervisor (Grade B)

Officers look to you on every shift at a guarding contract across several sites in Sandton. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Sandton-based, with most of your time spent at a guarding contract across several sites. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client

• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• Available after hours for emergencies

• Mention how you handled absenteeism or roster gaps. It is the biggest daily headache for security companies.
• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
