Security Site Supervisor (Grade B)

Officers look to you on every shift at a guarding contract across several sites in Sandton. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll report in Sandton. Relocation is not covered for this one. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours

• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor

• Labour relations or basic supervision course
• Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts

• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
• Mention how you handled absenteeism or roster gaps. It is the biggest daily headache for security companies.
