Senior Associate (Corporate and Mergers)

You'll run your own files from instruction to judgment at a personal injury and medical negligence firm in Mbombela. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Mbombela, Mpumalanga. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements
• Advise clients on risk, settlement and next steps in plain language
• Brief counsel and prepare them for trial and opposed motions
• Manage a portfolio of litigation or advisory matters on your own
• Record billable time and hit the monthly target
• Track legislation changes that affect clients' businesses
• Review company processes for POPIA and privacy compliance

• LLB and admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa
• At least 2 years of post-admission experience in the relevant field
• Right of appearance in the High Court for litigation posts
• Enrolled with the Legal Practice Council and holding a current Fidelity Fund certificate if you handle trust money

• Experience on bank or insurer panels
• Existing client following
• Notarial admission

• Paid LPC fees and CPD
• Medical aid and retirement fund
