Senior Associate (Corporate and Mergers) – Immediate Start

Home base is a mid-sized commercial law firm on the Rustenburg side of North West. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Brief counsel and prepare them for trial and opposed motions
• Appear in the magistrate's court, CCMA, Labour Court or High Court as your matters need
• Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements
• Review company processes for POPIA and privacy compliance
• Track legislation changes that affect clients' businesses
• Supervise and train candidate attorneys and paralegals
• Manage a portfolio of litigation or advisory matters on your own

• Right of appearance in the High Court for litigation posts
• Enrolled with the Legal Practice Council and holding a current Fidelity Fund certificate if you handle trust money
• Strong drafting and legal research
• Able to manage client relationships without a senior in the room
