Senior Payroll Officer (Group Companies)

You'll run weekly and monthly payrolls for a labour-heavy mining contractor in Kempton Park, from clock data to bank file. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Kempton Park-based, with most of your time spent at a labour-heavy mining contractor. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Calculate leave pay, notice pay and final pay under the BCEA
• Submit Compensation Fund returns of earnings
• Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private
• Process garnishee orders and third-party deductions
• Declare UIF on uFiling and help staff with UI-19 forms

• You keep salary information private under POPIA
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• Experience on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay

• SAPP registration as a Payroll Practitioner
• Experience with medical aid and pension fund reconciliations
• Knowledge of employment equity and WSP reporting
