Senior Payroll Officer (Group Companies)

You'll run weekly and monthly payrolls for a retail head office in Umhlanga, from clock data to bank file. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a retail head office in Umhlanga. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Calculate leave pay, notice pay and final pay under the BCEA
• Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private
• Process garnishee orders and third-party deductions
• Submit Compensation Fund returns of earnings
• Declare UIF on uFiling and help staff with UI-19 forms
• Run weekly and monthly payrolls and check the variance reports

• You keep salary information private under POPIA
• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• At least 2 years of full-function payroll
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA

• Experience with medical aid and pension fund reconciliations
• Knowledge of employment equity and WSP reporting
• Bargaining council wage experience, such as MIBCO or the security sector

• Paid SAPP membership
• Remote work outside payroll week
• Structured increases linked to certification
