Job Description

Here your code runs in production, not in a drawer: a software development house in Vanderbijlpark. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll be based at a software development house in Vanderbijlpark. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries
Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab

You'll need

Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
Experience writing automated tests
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases

Nice if you have

Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Experience in regulated sectors such as banking or medical schemes
