Senior Quantity Surveyor (Civil Projects)

You'll measure, price and manage the money on building projects for the main building contractor in Gqeberha. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a main building contractor on the Gqeberha side of Eastern Cape.

• Track budget against actual cost and flag overruns early
• Prepare the final account at the end of the project
• Price tenders using supplier quotes, labour rates and plant costs
• Take off quantities from drawings to build a bill of quantities
• Use measuring software to do take-offs from PDF and CAD drawings

• Code 08 licence for site visits
• Accurate with numbers and able to back up every figure you certify
• BSc, BTech or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
• At least 3 years of QS work in private practice or with a contractor
• You know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work
