Service Advisor (Commercial Vehicles)

Book cars in, find the right part and keep customers informed at the multi-brand service centre in Springs. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is in Springs (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Handle complaints calmly and find a fix with the workshop manager
• Count stock during cycle counts and year-end stocktake
• Order stock and special parts, and follow up on back orders
• Open job cards and explain the work and cost before it starts
• Book in vehicles, walk around with the customer and note existing damage
• Pick, pack and issue parts to technicians against job cards
• Phone customers with extra work found and get approval in writing

• Calm and polite with customers, even when they are upset
• At least 2 years as a service advisor, parts interpreter or in a similar counter role
• Accurate when capturing part numbers and prices
• Good working knowledge of car parts and basic vehicle systems
• Code 08 licence
• Computer literate with a dealer management system or parts software

• Parts interpreter or service advisor course through merSETA
• Brand-specific warranty system training

• Company uniform
• Commission on parts sales or workshop turnover
• Monthly CSI bonus for customer ratings
• Paid brand training
