Job Description

Start in retail here: a wholesale cash-and-carry in Centurion trains packers who show up and work neat. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a wholesale cash-and-carry on the Centurion side of Gauteng.

What your day looks like

  • Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
  • Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
  • Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
  • Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
  • Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
  • Collect trolleys from the parking lot

Must-haves

  • Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
  • Grade 10 or matric
  • Basic reading and maths for price checks
  • Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays

Extra points for

  • Some till or cash-handling experience
  • Previous shelf packing or merchandising work

What's in it for you

  • Travel allowance on merchandising routes
  • Paid training in store procedures
  • Staff discount on groceries
  • Chance to move into till or department roles

Applying, step by step

  1. Make sure the role, the hours and working in Centurion really suit you before you apply.
  2. Have the following on hand (clear photos on your phone are fine at first): CV with the days and times you can work, matric results or last school report plus ID document or smart card, with a certified copy.
  3. Fill in the short form below with your name and a phone number you actually answer.
  4. Watch for a call or WhatsApp from How2Apply over the next 8 working days.

Tips to get shortlisted

  • If you have ever sold anything, even at a school tuck shop or a family stall, list it. It shows you are comfortable with customers.
  • Hand your CV in at the store in person, early in the week, and ask for the store or receiving manager by name.
