Job Description

Start in retail here: a neighbourhood supermarket in Montague Gardens trains packers who show up and work neat. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll be based at a neighbourhood supermarket in Montague Gardens. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What you'll actually do

Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
Collect trolleys from the parking lot
Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager

What you need

Polite with customers and happy to help
Grade 10 or matric
Basic reading and maths for price checks
Neat appearance and punctual
Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays

Nice if you have

Some till or cash-handling experience
Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
Previous shelf packing or merchandising work
