Job Description

You'll keep the site legal and the workers safe for the municipal infrastructure project in Bellville. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is in Bellville (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What your day looks like

Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor
Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
Prepare monthly safety statistics for the client's agent
Inspect scaffolds, excavations and edge protection daily

You'll need

You write clear reports in English
First Aid Level 1 at least
Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer
At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
