SHEQ Officer (Building Contractor)

You'll keep the site legal and the workers safe for the renewable energy construction site in Fourways. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a renewable energy construction site on the Fourways side of Gauteng. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
• Keep appointment letters and competency certificates in the file
• Write and review risk assessments and safe work method statements
• Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor
• Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time
• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014
• Track PPE issues and replace damaged equipment

• You write clear reports in English
• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer

• Diploma in Safety Management
• Experience on renewable energy or high-rise projects
• ISO 45001 internal auditor course

• Travel and site allowances
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
• Laptop and data for reporting
