SHEQ Officer (Building Contractor) – Experienced

The high-rise residential project in Pretoria East needs a safety officer who is on the site, not stuck in the container office. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The work is in Pretoria East, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Keep appointment letters and competency certificates in the file
• Track PPE issues and replace damaged equipment
• Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
• Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time
• Write and review risk assessments and safe work method statements

• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
• Good understanding of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations 2014
• First Aid Level 1 at least
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification

• Laptop and data for reporting
• Travel and site allowances
• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
